Cloud computing providers offer many features as part of their services to the public and businesses worldwide, whether it be automated scheduled backups, mobile device syncing, drag and drop, or file sharing to name just a few. But there is one thing that not all of these cloud computing companies offer: File Versioning.

File what?

File versioning allows you to recover different stages of a file. So, for instance, let’s imagine you finish writing a report and save the file, but after a couple of days realise you’d deleted a vital piece of information before saving. You go into your cloud computing storage provider’s control panel to find the older version of the file, but find it’s already been saved over as a result of the latest backup. Unfortunately, there’s just nothing you can do in a situation like this…

However, with JustCloud’s file versioning, each time our system backs up the same file, it will make a separate edition, meaning that each stage of the document can always be found no matter what.

If you are already a JustCloud customer, you can recover a previous version of a file by:

-          Logging into your JustCloud account

-          Clicking on ‘View My Files’ in the navigation bar

-          And then, on the next screen where you’ll see detailed descriptions of each file’s versions, simply clicking Download on the file you wish to recover

With life saving capabilities like these, who can really afford to be without JustCloud?
