A lot of people wandered quit where the phenomenon which is cloud storage would go next, and we know that it has now come to the armed forces as late last year the British Army gave $250 million to a group of cloud contractors who have been given the task of bringing cloud storage to the army. The army, along with countless other operations will now be able to benefit from all that cloud storage has to offer, which means a lot of things but all comes down to an increase in efficiency. Another factor on top of increased efficiency which follows a cloud storage system is lower costs, as the cloud acts as one central hub where communications and files can be shared. Cutting costs is especially beneficial in a military environment because any saved money can go towards important causes such as troop supplies, so it would appear that cloud storage can benefit the army in more than the obvious ways. Implementing a cloud storage system is a great first step in the right direction for the army, however there is still scope to integrate all areas of military IT operations and make an even more efficient service overall.
